What a great year for books!! I found some outstanding new to me authors and my go to authors put out some amazing books! It wasn’t hard to pick the standout books this year and if you haven’t read these yet I highly recommend that you do!
Drive by Kate Stewart
This book blew so many out of the water this year. It had elements I typically try to avoid in books and yet while I read this story all I wanted was MORE! Kate Stewart took her writing to a completely new level and I can’t wait to see what she’ll do next.
Ruthless King by Meghan March
Meghan March just may be a genius. This book, these characters BLEW me away. The intensity and emotional connection between Mount and Keira was palpable. The push and pull between these two throughout the entire book kept me guessing who would end up on top and what it would cost them to get there.
The Long Way Home by K Langston
This book pulled on all the heart strings. You could tell the author poured all her emotions into Sylvie’s story. It was pure beauty.
Up In the Treehouse by K.K. Allen
The most powerful coming of age story I have ever read. I clung to every word of this book, it’s one I’d love to have the chance to read again for the first time.
Logan by Jay McLean
Logan was more than a book, it was an experience. The story wrapped around me and held me captive from start to finish.
A Broken Soul by Jessica Prince
So, so, so many feels in this book. My heart was broken through much of this book. But slowly and meticulously Jessica Prince put it back together. The epilogue of this book still brings a smile to my face whenever it pops into my head.
Play On by Samantha Young
I loved so much about this book. It touched on so many emotions. Had the perfect amount of angst. This was one of those books that gave me that clenching ache in my stomach, I LOVE when the storyline gets so emotional it gives me a full on physical reaction.
Pucked Off by Helena Hunting
Lance Romero, do I need to say more? What about the sweet, sassy, funny, and all around amazing Poppy? This was by far the best book in this series and I LOVE me some Randy Balls.
The Time In Between by Kristen Ashely
Not a surprise that a KA book made this list. She is by far the best at writing lovers who have lost and then found their way back to each other. Kady was by far the most powerful female character I read this year.
The Hookup by Kristen Ashely
KA AGAIN, still not a surprise lol. I LOVED the concept of this story. The what happens in between. This isn’t a book you read, it’s one you experience. Once you’re done it’ll take you weeks to recover.
