Are you a fan of “Ugly Cry” books???

Have we all not found ourselves in this situation?  Do you go out of your way to find the books that make you feel this way?  Do you live for the ugly cry books?  I DON’T!  I really try to stay away from them because they truly do break my heart!  I honestly prefer a HEA type of book and really need to prep myself to read an ugly cry book.  Unless I somehow go in blind and then I’m locked in with no way out until I’m done.  Most of them rip my heart out and only give portions back.   And there is one series that will forever affect me (I’m sure you can guess!).  Oh and certain trailers trigger those same memories for me and I relive it all over again!  The only  way I can explain it is that I feel “injured” and it usually takes me a while to recover.  And sometimes I never do.  Seriously (please tell me I’m not the only one)!  Other times I don’t see it coming and I’m suddenly sobbing at 2:00 in the morning because I couldn’t be the book down!!!  But it’s these books, once I make it through them, that become my favorites!

I don’t think my  Ugly Cry list has changed that much since I started blogging!    So help me find the next books to be added to my ” I have to prepare myself to read” TBR.

Tell me what books destroyed you and brought on the ugly cry?

These are the ones that always come to me when I think Ugly Cry Reads.  ~Jacque

  1. I HATE ugly cry books! But saying that, there are a few that are in my forever favorites and will stay with me always, especially Love Always, Kate and Love Always, Damian by D. Nichole King and Full Tilt and All In by Emma Scott. The Summer Remains by Seth King was another one that gutted me.
Butterfly Dreams by A. Meredith Walters was an ugly cry, but not for the reason you’d normally ugly cry over a book.

  2. I have to be in a “special mood” to read an “ugly Cry”. There are a few I have read more than once and always recommend.
    Last Chance by Lauren Runow,
Harley and Rose by Carmen Jenner
    Always by Kindle Alexander.

  3. I usually don’t like books that make me cry. Some of the ones that did but I still did are Stoned by Mandi Beck, Walk through Fire by Kristen Ashley, Baby Dad by Sloane Howell, and Say You Want Me by Corrine Michaels.

  4. YES I Love (I mean LOVE) Them
I then have to balance them out with a Hilarious Book to bring My Mood Back Up but I will definitely be adding these to My Wish Lists
Mine were Believe Like A Child by Paige Dearth and Never Let You Go (Called The Good Mother on Goodreads) by Sinead Moriarty (Might need to have kids for this one to Hit you in the heart IDK though)
and one Chapter of One other book made me CRY In the Line of Duty (Detective Madison Knight Series Book 7)
    by Carolyn Arnold
