WHAT I RATED IT
WHAT IT’S ABOUT
Ever since that fateful day, I became an expert at avoidance.
Avoiding attachments. Avoiding relationships. Avoiding love.
My company became my constant, the only companion I needed… until a chance encounter with Jules Weston. I met her at a most vulnerable moment. Despite the tears that streaked her face, I fell in love the first time I ever laid eyes on her. I needed her in my life.
She was broken, but I knew I could heal her. I would wait until she let me into her heart, allowing me to love her. And maybe, just maybe, one day she could heal me too.
This was a love story that I’m sure many of the readers will relate to. This is the quintessential “if you love something, set it free…” love story with some drama in between.
Dylan left Jules years ago but never stopped loving her and now he wants her back.
Jules was devastated by their break up but is now with Austin and is happy.
Austin has finally found the love of his life in Jules but is his love for her enough?
In this story you see the struggles and realizations that all 3 characters go through. Dylan’s turmoil of realizing he’s lost Jules for good, knowing that Austin is “the better man”. Jules was devastated by Dylan and her breakup. Although I haven’t read “Dylan” I can feel that Jules has grown up through her break up with him. We can see her come into her own and how much she enjoys who she is with Austin.
“When we’re together, I’m reminded of who I used to be. I prefer who I am with you.”
And finally there is Austin. We see the love that he has for Jules throughout the book and more importantly he comes to realize how much she loves him.
“I can feel how much you love me, Jules. I see it in your eyes…”
I can tell you without having read “Dylan” that I am definitely TEAM AUSTIN (+Jules). I was rooting for them! In my book, they belong together.
This is the first book I have read of this series. Although I thought the story could have been longer with a little more detail, I give it 4 stars. If you are looking for a quick, easy read, this is a good choice for you.
