Blaze by Suzanne Wright-Amy’s Review

I was first introduced to Suzanne’s writing when I read her Deep In Your Vein’s series.  I was instantly hooked by her; sassy, strong females, alpha badass males, and the dirty humor that made up her books.  She quickly became a one click author for me after that and I’ve read every book she’s released since.

Defeat the enemy. Win the boy. Live happily ever after.

But life “ever after” isn’t as easy as it used to be. Harper’s gone from being a member of a small demon lair to co-Prime of one of the most powerful lairs in the US with a mate who, though hot as hell, is just a mite overprotective – I mean, you get kidnapped by dark practitioners just once . . .

Then one of Knox’s demons goes rogue, and in his madness decides Knox Thorne must die.

Harper’s worried. Knox isn’t – at least until he discovers his mate’s willingness to get between him and danger. Now, Knox has a new priority: Keep Harper safe . . . no matter what it takes.

But Harper begins to suspect there’s more danger than one rogue demon. It seems the combined strength of Harper and Knox has upset the balance of power in the demon world and there are those who are determined to right that wrong.

Because when you move up the food chain, sometimes the other predators just want to take a bigger bite.

Suzanne always blows me away with the worlds she  builds.  Her imagination and ability to  create original story-lines  is spectacular, I’m constantly in awe of the characters she brings to life in her books.  After reading Burn (and loving every second of it) I was thrilled to get more from not only Knox and Harper but, the entire demon community in Vegas.

In Blaze we see Knox and Harper falling into their roles as both co-primes but, also as mates.  Though their relationship is solid there is someone out there who wants to see it fail.  The mystery and constant who did it of this story really made for an entertaining and engaging read.  My guess kept changing through out the book and I was surprised when the person was revealed.

The writing was spot on in this book, it flowed so smoothly, there wasn’t any down time.  It was just an action packed, steamy time with our big alpha Demon and his sassy and head strong mate.

I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of this series and I hope Suzanne decides to branch off and give us everyones stories.  The group of secondary characters in this book are just as intriguing as our main characters and I would love to hear their stories too!

An excellent book that’s left me craving more.

Suzanne Wright lives in England with her husband, two children (one angel, one demon), and her bulldog. When she’s not spending time with her family, she’s writing, reading, or doing her version of housework – sweeping the house with a look.
