Bound by Family by Ryan Michele – Amy’s Review

WHY I READ IT

I’m in love with Ryan Michele and her Ravage MC series.  I was eager to see what she could do with the second generation of bikers.

WHAT I RATED IT

WHAT IT’S ABOUT

Cooper Cruz knows what it means to be surrounded and bound by family. Loyalty, brotherhood, and protection are all learned, earned, and respected by him and the Ravage Motorcycle Club family he grew up in. At the same, he’s a man, having fun and living the life he has always envisioned, until a trip to Florida changes everything.

Bristyl Daniels knows what it means to be smothered and bound by family. Bonds run deep with her father and all the members of the Sinister Sons Motorcycle Club she has grown up in. But now she’s all woman and wishes they would see she isn’t a little girl anymore. Then one phone call gives her a chance meeting with a hunk of a man she can’t get off her mind.

When her favorite band comes to play at a motorcycle rally in her hometown, Bristyl decides it’s worth the risk to sneak off for a little fun. When a situation gets heated, though, Cooper and the Ravage MC step in, setting off a chain of events, both good and bad in both their lives.

As the dust settles, Bristyl will have to come to some very hard decisions. Meanwhile, Cooper knows exactly what he wants. To hell with the consequences.

AMY’S REVIEW

The Ravage MC family feels like mine own flesh and blood.  Ryan Michele has this way of bringing her characters to life that I absolutely love.   I was extremely excited when I heard she was going to write this book because I KNEW that she was going to give Cooper and the rest of the Ravage kids the voice and the story they deserved.

Cooper is that perfect guy.  He’s bad ass, tough, can handle a gun, and himself in a fight.  But he’s also level headed, kind, and smart as a whip.  Add to that his gorgeous face and super six pack and boom the perfect guy.  Cooper has always been a special character and Ryan wrote him better than I was even hoping for.  His story isn’t always an easy on but, the way he navigates through it was perfection.

Bristyl is made to be an Old Lady, she is sassy, determined,  and tough but, still knows her place within the club.  She has a strength that only living a hard life can provide.  That strength and determination come in handy when she meets Princess and has to prove her intentions with Cooper.   This is another strong female character who isn’t afraid to fight for what she wants or to protect the people she loves.

The story line was fantastic.  We got to visit with characters we love (#RhysForLife)  while still getting new ones.  I’m excited to see where this series will go and what the new blood and next generation of the Ravage MC will do!
