This year was a year of variety for me. A little suspense, a little mystery, some major drama. I also read some of my favorite authors new releases. I think I can no longer say I am a sports romance dominated reader. I have opened up to alpha males, RomCom, and some heartbreaking/ugly cry books. I hope that I keep expanding in 2016
Dare to Kiss and Dare to Dream by SB Alexander – This series captivated me from the first one’s blurb. Lacey dominates the baseball world despite it being a “man’s game.” Kade is hot and everything you want in a book boyfriend.
More Than Enough by Jay McLean – The best end to an era I have ever read. The gang will always be in my heart. The mayhem in this was peeing your pants funny.
Kick Push by Jay McLean – This book wrecked me. A single and teen dad parenting is something that doesn’t come along a lot in books. The girl is beautifully broken.
Boy Toy Chronicles by Jay McLean – This whole book is one hard laugh. It is a short and quick way to get yourself in a great mood. Also, there are Dawson’s Creek references. Enough said.
Where the Road Takes Me by Jay McLean – This book was an all-nighter. Blake and Chloe are the couple that fight to be together and it is “plot packed” until the very end.
Combative by Jay McLean – Mystery. This book is a part of a trilogy (others are not out yet and no set release) and I can only hope that there are as many twists, turns, and unanswered, questions in the next two.
Sweet Temptation by KC Lynn – Alpha Male aka Sexy Sawyer is my favorite of the whole Men of Honor Series. He is sexy and he knows it. Grace is a beautifully sad, young lady, but is so strong, independent, and hardworking.
Miles From Home by Ava Bell – This was her debut novel this past January and she rocked it. Sam and Maggie share a short lived bond that just won’t die.
On Paper by Shae Scott – This book is my favorite “booklovers” book. Author and bookworm get together for just one week. However, that is just the beginning of this heart-wrenching story.
Falling Deeper by Lucia Grace – Another debut author. She nailed the dark and troubled male lead. Her female goes through a bundle of bad moments. This is a book that will make you feel just about every emotion.
The Law of Moses by Amy Harmon – This book isn’t just romance. It has some “spiritual” aspects that aren’t too hokey. This book also has a mystery element that will keep you guessing.
Treacherous by Chloe Walsh – Chloe is always about the drama and does not disappoint here. Teagan is Irish and quite the firecracker despite her butthole next door neighbor and his evil step sister.
Bang by M. Dauphin and HQ Frost – Another book that is mostly giggles. Dr. Jenny Bang (yep) and her Lumber Jack are sure to ignite a great time for you.
Slammed by Colleen Hoover – This was my first CoHo book and I fell in love easily. The poetry aspect is wonderful. I don’t do many teacher/student relationship books, but this one was very good.
