Cassie’s Top Reads of 2016

Coast by Jay McLean

My Review                    Purchase Here

Another wonderful ending to another Jay Mclean Series. Being left with so much hurt at the end of Kick Push, Coast made it all better and then some. Becca’s journey was one I think every female should read about.

Hallowed Ground by Rebecca Yarros

My Review                    Purchase Here

I have learned this is a book that no matter how many times you read it, it is going to gut you. No other book surrounding war will probably ever touch it in my eyes. The attention to detail is only something that can come from a military spouse. This book will be in my heart and at the top of my favorites for a long time.

Sweet Love by K.C. Lynn

My Review                     Purchase Here

No one loves cupcakes and shortcakes like my favorite Man of Honor Sawyer. Getting a glimpse into his life with Grace in the future was something I had always wanted. But really…anything Sawyer is always welcomed and loved for me. Who wouldn’t love his humor?

Conflagration by Tessa Teevan

My Review                    Purchase Here

Who better to write the ultimate asshole and let him be redeemed then one of the most talented assholes I know? Branson was going to be a tough sell for me, but as I read his side of all the events we had seen in previous books, I felt my heart soften. If there was an award for it he would win Favorite Fictional Male Asshole.

Wilder by Rebecca Yarros

My Review                    Purchase Here

This book was full of adventure and facing fears head on. Every book Rebecca Yarros writes is a five star for me, but this one had just a little extra. The extreme stunts and love were consuming.

How To Date A Douchebag by Sara Ney

My Review                      Purchase Here

There is no other way to explain this book then this: IF YOU DON’T ACTUALLY WANT TO READ ABOUT A DOUCHEBAG THEN DON’T BUY THIS BOOK. However, if you do love a good douchebag, wonderfully crude humor, and a girl who is much more than her strand of pearls, then this book is for you.

Lucas by Jay McLean

My Review                   Purchase Here

The Preston Family is my favorite family in the More World. To see how Lucas held everything together while Luce was in college was amazing. Most of all, this is a favorite of mine this year because there wasn’t anything much better than getting to see more of Kathy Preston.

Sweet Haven by KC Lynn

My Review                     Purchase Here

Who couldn’t love Sawyer’s sweet little sister Sam? She and Jase were one hot couple to read about. Not to mention that KC wrote a beautiful side story in this book that surrounds the peach trees! Perfection.

Even The Score by Beth Ehemann

My Review                    Purchase Here

It is no secret that Andy is my favorite Cranberry Inn man. I love a man in a suit and I love a single dad who does everything he can for his kids, but that isn’t why I loved him and this book the most. I love him because he chose his career based upon securing and protecting his best friend and that is the kind of man anyone could fall in love with. I fell in love with this book because everyone wants to see the good guy get it all.

A Cranberry Inn Christmas by Beth Ehemann

My Review                           Purchase Here

This book sums up the series to perfection. No better way to have such a bittersweet end than getting getting to see everyone together for Christmas. Plus, Viper Claus happens. Not to mention Andy of course.

Words I Couldn’t Say by Tessa Teevan

My Review                      Purchase Here

There is no better young love book out there. Ava was such a gem in the Explosive Series. It was no surprise she got her own book as she needed to shine like the star she is. Tucker is just simply amazing.

Fusion by Tessa Teevan

My Review                           Purchase Here

Jeremy and Sierra are the type of couple that never give you a dull moment (especially with Jeremy’s practical jokes). Their back and forth before they were together was the epitome of “oh come on! You both obviously love each other!” Getting this book after reading all about them in Lexi’s story is perfection.

Inflame by Tessa Teevan

My Review                        Purchase Here

Kale does a body good. Who wouldn’t love a book with a pickup line like that in it? This book has a surprise that is absolutely gut wrenchingly sad. Overall though, it is just hard not to love Kale Montgomery.

The Detective’s Trust by K Langston

My Review                           Purchase Here

This novella had absolutely panty melting scenes. I loved Reid’s alpha male persona and Cassidy is sweet and sassy. There is no better combo with some alpha love. Not to mention that the action and suspense is phenomenal. Jaws will drop.

Combust by Tessa Teevan

My Review                    Purchase Here

We see Cohen in Knox’s story, but it was just a glimpse. He is such a sweetheart and is the guy that should always finish first. Andi/Ruby was an interesting character and I had so much fun learning more about her as the story progressed. One Minute Man for the win.

Point of Origin by Rebecca Yarros

My Review                        Purchase Here

Really this book and Ignite need a spot. A story about a generation of kids bringing back something that meant so much to their parents is amazing. This book has all the feels worth a full length novel packed into a novella.
