WHY I READ IT

WHAT I RATED IT

WHAT IT’S ABOUT

She was mine. Our love, unquestioned. Our futures planned. But she didn’t show. All that we had, all that we meant, and after all that was said, she just didn’t show. That one act changed everything, but it especially changed me and from that moment on, there was no going back. No words of love, no whispered promises, just sex and drugs and rock and roll. No one gets a piece of Reed, but what they will get is the night of their life, the chance to let go, break their own rules and enjoy the best, the dirtiest, filthiest sex ever… along with the other four people in my bed.
I thought he loved me, I believed everything he said, every promise that he made but then, when I needed him more than I’d needed anyone in my life, and when I was at my most vulnerable, he let me down. He chose to take a different path and leave me to pick up the pieces of my now broken life. I was changed forever and chose the easy option letting others take charge of my destiny, until, once again, I’m let down in the cruellest of ways.
Dirty filthy sex. Love. Heartbreak. Betrayal. High emotion and angst.

JACQUE’S REVIEW

Well she has done it again!!!  Another winner by Lesley Jones!  There is just something about her writing style that I connnect with.  And just like her other books, I was immediately pulled in.  And now that I have visual for Conner – OMG!!!

At that moment, when that first tear slid from her eye and rolled back toward the pillow and she whispered, “I love you Conner, I love you so much.”  I knew there and then that I loved her like no other and would love her forever.

This is story of two young people so in love and so close to being together but a snowball of events happen and that changes their future.  They are torn apart for 15 years and we bear their pain of not being together and not understanding why.  We feel the longing that they have AWLAYS had for each other.  Until different circumstances bring them back together.

Even though so much time has passed and so much has changed their feelings have not.  And look out when they figure out what happened to pulled them apart.  There will be hell to pay…and Conner is going to make sure someone pays.

I loved Conviction.  It has it all – love, heartache, sadness, angst.  We had two great characters in Conner and Nina.   When they aren’t together we see them just getting by with life.  It’s when they are together that we see them grow.  They are never better than when they are together.  We can see how being together completes who they are.  And being “Conner Fucking Reed” doesn’t hurt either!

Lesley Jones is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.  If you haven’t read her books, give her a try – you will not be disappointed!
