JENN’S REVIEW

Grit is the perfect title for this book. It was full of Grit. It was full of hot blooded, alpha male bikers who were about as badass as I’ve ever seen. Take Sons of Anarchy and add 20% more drama and you’ve got Grit.

Jaeger Dalton has had a crap life. Forced by his father to sell drugs to his high school classmates, and then eventually thrown out at age 16, Jaeger has had to make it on his own for a long time. Eventually, with the help of his friend Aaron, he starts up the Hunters Motorcycle Club. They are a dark club and not exactly making their money legally.  When a “client” defaults on a payment, they head out to collect. What Jaeger finds is more than the farm he now owns, but the fiery redhead that has been on his mind ever since he caught a glimpse of her years ago.

Dillon “Phoenix” Ward is all alone now that her father as passed. But that doesn’t mean she can’t take care of herself. When Jaeger and his club come to collect their debt, Nix greats him at the door with a shotgun staring him straight in the face. She won’t willingly give up the farm, but a rival MC has other plans.

Forced to flee with Jaeger, and rely on him to keep her safe, Nix is in a bit of a quandary. Nix makes her feel things she never expected, but he is also a first class jerk. He says what’s on his mind, and really has no cares about how his words affect Nix. All he knows is that he has been thinking about this woman for years and he finally has her right where he wants her… In his bed. Jaeger is a dirty talking, alpha male. He may act like a jerk, but he knows Nix is what he wants and he will fight like hell to protect her.

Nix is a seriously kick ass heroine. She definitely doesn’t need a man to rely on and she refuses to let Jaeger boss her around. She holds her own in every argument and doesn’t back down. She isn’t turned off by the MC or the job they do. If any woman is going to be by Jaeger’s side, Nix is the woman to be there.

This book took me WAY out of my comfort zone. I did not know what to expect going into it, only having read the blurb. Let me tell you, the blurb has nothing on the storyline. There are definitely parts of this book that were difficult for me to read and get through. But I did, and I really liked it. Fans of erotic romance and MC books will love this one!
