WHAT IT’S ABOUT

Quinn
I’d say I’m down on my luck, but that’s an understatement. I’m flat on my ass. Homeless, hungry and in hiding with my little sister at the age of twenty-one, I’ve never been so desperate. I’ve hit rock bottom when I get an offer I can’t refuse. Sell my body to save my sister? There’s nothing I won’t do to keep her safe. I make the rules and I’m not afraid to defend myself if this rich guy crosses the line. But once I see beneath his cold, calculating façade, the lines aren’t so clear anymore.

Andrew
She’s an intoxicating mix of tough and vulnerable I’ve never known before. This homeless woman who fits right into my upper-class world is running from someone powerful, and I’ll do whatever it takes to protect her. But Quinn isn’t meant to be controlled, so I’m forced to choose between owning her and loving her. I’ve finally met my match, and I’ll do whatever it takes to make her truly mine.

JENN’S REVIEW

“She’s been so strong for so long, and now I want to be the strong one for her. I don’t know how I got lucky enough to be here with her right now, but I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.

I first fell in love with Rothert’s writing when I read her Fire on Ice hockey series. I love when authors take a chance, and write outside of the sub-genre that I know them best for. His is nothing like Rothert’s two hockey series, but it is just as incredible. I was sucked in from the first few sentences and read the entire book in one sitting. I was riveted by both Andrew and Quinn’s back stories, as well as their journey together. Quinn and Andrew have their own walls built up, as well as their own secrets and insecurities. Finding the ability to move past those obstacles was a huge challenge for them. There are a lot of jaw dropping moments in this story, so I am not going to tell you anything about it. What I am going to tell you is that the writing is flawless and engaging. Rothert weaves the perfect tale of finding love in any circumstance. It’s a story about doing whatever is necessary to take care of the people you love the most in the world, and the sacrifices you make to keep them safe. His is part mystery, part suspense, part survival, part epic love story that MUST be read. Do not pass this book by!
