River is a new author and the book sounded really intriguing.

WHAT I RATED IT

off the charts

WHAT IT’S ABOUT

Phoenix ‘Nix’ Knight thought pulling his club out of the illegal shit his Pops got them into was difficult.

Until he meets Kadence.

Kadence Turner has no business lusting over a student’s father, especially the president of the Knights Rebels MC. Nix is crass, obnoxious and dangerously sexy and for some reason, Kadence can’t seem to hate him for it. The bossy biker breaks down her defenses, but unlike the old Kadence, the woman she is today won’t give in without a fight.

The tension is undeniable, the attraction fierce. A man that wants what he wants and a woman that will fight him every step of the way.

JENN’S REVIEW

From the very beginning of this book, I was captivated. Nix and Kadence explode of the page and their chemistry is right in your face. They have a magnetic pull towards each other that neither can deny. Their first meeting, as teacher and parent, is professional, but under the surface, being professional is the last thing on anyone’s mind.

Wanting is the absolute last emotion Kadence should be feeling towards Nix, especially when a Motorcycle Club was responsible for almost taking away everything she holds dear, including her life. Nix is persistent in his pursuit of Kadence. He defines alpha male and will not take no for an answer. Kadence, while she tries to deny it, is turned on by Nix’s dirty talk (and who wouldn’t be; it is seriously over the top H.O.T!), gives into Nix’s persistence and agrees to one date. Both of them thinking to get the other out of their system, each knowing deep down, that it will probably take a lifetime for that to happen.

This has everything I love in a book. The relationship between Nix and Kadence is well developed and felt very true to their situation. While their attraction was instant and the chemistry white hot, it wasn’t instant love. They took the time to build their relationship. The back and forth banter is hysterical. I love a strong, fierce heroine. Kadence gives it as good as she gets it from Nix. They are the perfect sparring partners.  Nix is fiercely protective of Kadence. While he might be a bit bossy, Kadence knows just how to put him in his place.

The secondary characters are not just background noise. They are well fleshed out supporting roles that bring purpose to the story. You are as invested in them as you are Nix and Kadence, (I am SALIVATING for more stories from Sy and Jesse!!)

I was shocked to find out this was River Savages’ debut novel.  This book is MAGNIFICANT! I love the suspense and danger brewing under an irresistible love story. It was reminiscent of a Kristen Ashley book and we all know KA is my absolute favorite! I cannot wait for more from River and the Knights Rebels. I think I just found a new favorite author!
