Jenn’s Top Reads of 2016

Fighting Solitude by Aly Martinez

My Review                        Purchase Here

The powerful conclusion to Martinez’s On The Ropes series was everything I wanted it to me and more. With Quarry’s childhood as complicated as you could get, you knew his demons would take over at some point. Liv was a miracle worker!

Bounty by Kristen Ashley

My Review                        Purchase Here

A gorgeous story from my beloved Queen, with a bit of a twist. I like my heroes grumpy, and Deke fit the bill. Everything about this story was sensational.

Rock Chick Reawakening by Kristen Ashley

My Review                        Purchase Here

I questioned Ashley’s ability to tell a story the masses have been clamoring for, and to do it justice with a low word count. I have no idea why I did. This book was just incredible. It is the true opening story to our rock chicks, and shows us how our favorite southern belle got her knight and her castle.

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata

My Review                        Purchase Here

It didn’t hurt that I pictured Aiden as a dark-haired JJ Watt while reading this, but that aside, I’ve read this 600 + page book three times this year, and I fall more in love with it each time.

Wait for It by Mariana Zapata

My Review                         Purchase Here

I loved that Zapata gave Diana (from Winnie) a story, AND a happy ending. The pace and flow of this story was pure perfection.

Everything Sarina Bowen Published This Year

My Review for US     My Review for Bittersweet    My Review for Steadfast    My Review for Keepsake     My Review for Rookie Move      My Review for Hard Hitter

Purchase ALL here

Bowen proved this year that she can write ANYTHING. First she gave us Wes and Jamie, navigating fresh waters in US. Then, we met grumpy farmer Griffin in Bittersweet. Next came Jude’s heartbreaking story about taking back his life in Steadfast. She lightened the mood with Leo Trevi’s hard fought battle to win back his ex-girlfriend, and nail a starting spot on the Brooklyn Brusiers in Rookie Move. Next, we met Zach in Keepsake, the virgin male hero, who only a few years before, escaped a cult. Finally, she gave us O’Doul, my new favorite Brusier, who was struggling to keep up with his job as team enforcer, and hold on to his heart, which he was rapidly losing to Ari in Hard Hitter. Every time Bowen gives us a new book, I cannot wait to dive in, knowing she is going to give us the best story possible.

White Hot Hack Tracey Garvis Graves

My Review                     Purchase Here

One of the best things about Graves is the length she will go to understand the subject she is writing about. I loved this extra long glimpse into Kate and Ian AFTER the happily ever after.

It Ends With Us Colleen Hoover

My Review                        Purchase Here

This book knocked me on my ass and made me really think hard about my morals. I’m not sure I have ever been moved so strongly by an authors words. Five months later, I’m still not sure how I feel about it, except to say it is one of the best books I have read EVER.

The Bronze Horsemen Trilogy Paullina Simons

My Review                         Purchase Here

The synopsis for this series couldn’t be further from my style, but when a friend suggested I read it, and sent me the first book, I dove in. What a beautiful, tortured love story about two people who will withstand anything to be together.

Wild Heart Beth Ehemann

My Review                          Purchase Here

Viper!! My love!! This is part two of a duet, and can’t be read without reading Cement Heart, a favorite from last year. Viper is a hard ass….but those are the ones that fall the hardest.

No Pink Caddy Layne Harper

My Review                           Purchase Here

I do not read rock star books. It never works out for me. Until I read No Pink Caddy. I may not love rock stars, but it proves that Harper can write anything, and I will read anything she writes.

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

My Review                             Purchase Here

I put off purchasing this book because of the price tag, but I am glad I did. I love a good hate/love story and this was one of the best. Hard it believe this was Thornes first novel.

Hail Mary by Nicola Rendall

My Review                             Purchase Here

My God I loved this book. This was a no brainer for my list. It was smart, and sexy, and just perfect.

Dirty Work by Brenda Rothert/Chelle Bliss

My Review                              Purchase Here

This was a fun, sexy novel about what happens when two political opponents figure out they have amazing chemistry. Scorching!!

Until Now Laura Ward

My Review                              Purchase Here

Laura Ward writes gorgeous novels. GORGEOUS. Her words flow beautifully and create such magical images. I started reading this one while waiting for my son to finish basketball practice, and only stopped to drive him home. It was exceptional!
