WHY I READ IT

Fiona Davenport is this writer mash up of two incredible women that I adore.  When I heard they had teamed up I instantly grabbed anything and everything they had published.  When I started reading The Mafia Ties series I knew I would continue it to the end.  I am a big fan of overly alpha males, sexy, sassy females, and insta love done right.

WHAT I RATED IT

4 stars

WHAT IT’S ABOUT

Brandon DeLuca’s relentless pursuit of Carly O’Reilly after she flees New York isn’t really due to the orders of his mafia boss cousin. The feisty redhead is his, and he’s done trying to pretend otherwise. Now that he’s admitted the truth to himself, he just needs to convince her to put her life in his hands—and her body in his bed.

AMY’S REVIEW

Brandon and Carly peaked my interest during Nic and Anna’s story.  There was an underlying current of love/hate attraction between the two.  When I realized they were getting their own books I was thrilled.  While I loved Nic and his Gianna I was excited for these next book.  Carly is a spit fire and I couldn’t wait to see how Brandon was going to win her over.

The dynamic between Brandon and Carly was electric.  They are both very strong minded and capable people so watching them but heads over issues was both funny and lead to some very fun sexy times!  They say opposites attract but, in this case I think their like mindedness will end up being a blessing as they face down not only her family but, anyone else looking to take down this mafia princess.

One thing I really like about this series is that it is a serial, so they stories are short and sweet but, still pack a punch!  Another thing is the insta-love factor.  When done right (which Fiona does)  it’s a wonderful thing to behold.  These stories are all about finding the person you can’t live without and claiming them for your own.
