WHY I READ IT
The first two books in the series are some of my all-time favorites!
WHAT I RATED IT
WHAT IT’S ABOUT
Single mom Kacie Jensen must be dreaming. She’s finally found the love of her life in gorgeous hockey star Brody Murphy, and he’s just asked her to marry him. Still glowing from his romantic marriage proposal, Kacie shares the news with her twin daughters—who are delighted—and begins planning the wedding of a lifetime.
But when Kacie receives a letter from her dad, who walked out on her and her mother fifteen years ago, the happy whirlwind comes to a halt. He says he wants to meet her for lunch and catch up. But does he truly want to be a part of her life after all these years? Or is he only interested in her new fiancé’s money?
A heartwarming novel of romance, family, and lasting love, Room for Just a Little Bit More is the sweet, winning conclusion to the charming Cranberry Inn series.
**THIS IS A NOVELLA, NOT A STANDALONE–THE FIRST TWO BOOKS SHOULD BE READ BEFORE THIS**
This novella was the perfect wrap up to Kacie and Brody’s love story that we witnessed unfold in Room For You (You can see Jenn’s review here) and Room For More. This is NOT a standalone, and the first two books should be read before this novella.
When we left Kacie and Brody, they were newly engaged. Well now what? With Brody Murphy being one of the NHL’s hottest stars, news of their engagement spreads like wildfire. Soon enough, they are being bombarded with offers of flowers, venues and dresses. Kacie and Brody just want to keep it simple and about family, which, at the heart, is what this series has been about all along; the love and devotion of a family.
This novella reminded me why I feel in love with Beth Ehemann’s first two books in this series. The love that Kacie and Brody share is intense. They are determined to make each other the happiest they can be and you see it in their words and actions. Brody is fiercely protective of his family, and would do anything for his girls. He is just full of swoon worthy moments (The castle?!?!?) This novella was dedicated to Brody and Kacie starting their lives as a family with Lucy and Piper and how anything is possible when you do it with love.
