Ruthless King by Meghan March – Jenn’s Review

That blurb!! How do you pass up a book with that blurb?!

New Orleans belongs to me.
You don’t know my name, but I control everything you see—and all the things you don’t.
My reach knows no bounds, and my demands are always met.
I didn’t need to loan money to a failing family distillery, but it amuses me to have them in my debt.
To have her in my debt.
She doesn’t know she caught my attention.
She should’ve been more careful.
I’m going to own her. Consume her. Maybe even keep her.
It’s time to collect what I’m owed.
Keira Kilgore, you’re now the property of Lachlan Mount.

Well damn.

I’ve only read a third of the story, but Ruthless King is now the front-runner for the best book I’ve read this year. There is very little about this book that I can share with you. Anything I give you could be spoiler, and this book needs to be experienced organically. But you need to understand just how compelling this story is.

Lachlan Mount is an a**hole. There is no way to sugar coat it. Ruthless doesn’t even begin to cover all that he is. He is demanding, stubborn, and downright lethal. He controls all of New Orleans, and he plans to control Kiera.

Kiera…. Now Kiera is MAGNIFICENT. Just when you think Mount has broken her, she comes roaring back with her stubborn sass that just might get her killed. Kiera would go down fighting before she let Mount get the best of her. Too bad her body and her mind are at odds.

Be warned: If you didn’t know already. This is a trilogy. Each book will release about a month apart and book one ends on a massive cliffhanger. The anticipation is killing me and I can’t stop thinking about what is going to happen. I NEED book two NOW!!! The waiting just might kill me!!
