Sex, Not Love by Vi Keeland — Jenn’s Review

Vi is always a one-click for me.

My relationship with Hunter Delucia started backwards

We met at a wedding—him sitting on the groom’s side, me sitting on the bride’s. Stealing glances at each other throughout the night, there was no denying an intense, mutual attraction.

I caught the bouquet; he caught the garter. Hunter held me tightly while we danced and suggested we explore the chemistry sparking between us. His blunt, dirty mouth should’ve turned me off. But for some crazy reason, it had the opposite effect on me.

We ended up back in my hotel room. The next morning, I headed home to New York leaving him behind in California with the wrong number.

I thought about him often, but after my last relationship, I’d sworn off of charming, cocky, gorgeous-as-sin men. A year later, Hunter and I met again at the birth of our friends’ baby. Our attraction hadn’t dulled one bit. After a whirlwind trip, he demanded a real phone number this time. So I left him with my mother’s—she could scare away any man with her talks of babies and marriage—and flew back home.

I’d thought it was funny, until the following week when he rang the bell at Mom’s house for Sunday night dinner. The crazy, gorgeous man had won over my mother and taken an eight-week assignment in my city. He proposed we spend that time screwing each other out of our systems.

Eight weeks of mind-blowing sex with no strings attached? What did I have to lose?

Nothing, I thought.
It’s just sex, not love.
But you know what they say about the best laid plans…

“I can’t promise more. But I also can’t seem to walk out that f***ing door.”

There is something to be said about the anticipation leading up to a new Vi Keeland book. I always find myself clearing my entire schedule to read the book, but at the same time, not wanting to read it… because it will inevitably be over. And I hate when it’s over.

Every Vi Keeland book is read with a huge smile on my face. I don’t even know how to put into words how I feel when reading them. It’s an easy, peaceful experience. Don’t get me wrong. She’s not going to take it easy on you. Sex, Not Love is definitely a love story…but it’s so much more than just a love story between a man and a woman. There are so many moments that will tug at your heart.

I really want your experience with this book to be an organic one, so I’m basically telling you nothing. I actually forgot what the blurb said when I read it weeks ago, and I was glad. Hunter Delucia will have you swooning. Honestly, the man is perfection. He almost never says the wrong thing, and all of it sincere. He’s something special, that’s for sure. Natalia Rossi will have you cheering and throwing a fist pump. I love a proud, confident woman. It’s so much more attractive than someone constantly second guessing their decisions. Damn, that girl has some serious restraint. One wink from Hunter and I’d be all in. Keeland positively nails the chemistry in this one. It simply oozes from their pores.

You’re going to see this book highly rated all over the place. And for good reason. Pretty sure we’ll be talking about Hunter and Nat’s story come the end of December.
