20 Questions with Tessa
1. What author has really inspired you?
Kristen Ashley. She is one of the best writers in the business, and her heroes, the best in the community. She writes in several genres and I’m awed at her creativity. And she’s incredibly kind, down to earth, and truly loves her readers.
2. Which of your books are you the most proud of?
Fusion. Of course I love all my books. Jeremy and Sierra’s romance is just so…romantic and their relationship is incredible. Plus, the humor made it so much fun to write!
3. What are your must haves when writing?
Music! I cannot write without music.
4. What do your readers have to look forward to from you in 2018?
I’m finishing up book three of the Clandestine Affairs series, finally! And then I’ll be finishing the last two books of The Wellingtons series. Maybe a Christmas bonus if I have the time.
5. If you weren’t a writer what do you think you would be doing professionally?
My day job, one I love, is being a research analyst.
6. What’s one genre you haven’t written but want to?
Historical romance. I’ve recently been turned on to the genre and would absolutely love to one day write a Scottish or British historical romance.
7. What’s your drink of choice when writing?
Usually water and tea. Sometimes a glass of wine if I’ve writing in the evening.
8. Favorite TV show?
Ah! This is tough. Right now? I’d have to say Game of Thrones. The Office and South Park are totally my guilty pleasures, as well.
9. Do you read reviews..be honest!
Not mine. It’s healthier that way. You can’t go back and change anything, and people enjoy different things. That’s totally okay.
10. Do you put together a playlists when you write?
Absolutely! It’s like having a soundtrack for the book. I love hearing songs that relate to the stories and characters. I love going back and listening to playlists from books I’ve written.
11. What’s your favorite genre to read?
I love ALL romance. Right now I’m very into historical romance. It’s all I’ve read for the past four month. I also really love paranormal romance. Throw a Sherrilyn Kenyon or Kresley Cole book in front of me and you won’t see me until I reach the end.
12. Will you be attending any signings this year?
I don’t have any plans for signings this year. My focus is on writing and releasing, but maybe next year!
13. Peeps!Love them or hate them?
Like the marshmallows? I tend to avoid sugar but if they’re in the office break room, I might pick one up.
14. Do you read your signed paperbacks?
I don’t. My kindle is usually attached to my hand if I’m not writing. It’s been a while since I’ve even picked up a paperback.
15. Hardest character you have written?
Gabriella Latham, from my Clandestine Affairs series. I consider most of my heroines to be strong, feisty, and Brie is… a softer character. But that’s the point of the series, for her to find her inner strength and stand on her own.
16. What characters (yours or others) would you count on to help you get off a stranded island and why?
Well, Knox Wellington, of course. He’s strong, reliable, intelligent, and nice to look at. But then again, knowing Knox, he’d rather stay stranded on a desert island with his pretty lady 😉
17. Are you a detailed outline writer or a pantser writer?
I’m a little of both. I loosely outline, but mostly I just open my notebook or laptop and start writing.
18. What was your favorite book from childhood?
Honest Illusions by Nora Roberts. I was obsessed with it. I wore the paperback pages out by how many times I re-read it.
19. What inspired you to start writing?
Before writing I was a romance book blogger. I loved reading and reviewing, and one day my husband asked me why I didn’t write one myself. So I opened my laptop and did just that!
20. If you could co-write a book with any author, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Emma Chase. I absolutely adore her heroes, she has the best heroines, and I love the humor she injects into her novels.

More About Tessa
Tessa Teevan is a twenty-something book junkie who is also obsessed with sports. Bengals, Buckeyes, Reds are who she spends her time rooting for. She’s a research analyst by day, reads/writes by night, and is married to a guy 15 inches taller than her, making them quite the pair!
They currently reside just outside of Dayton, OH with two adorably grumpy cats. If she’s not writing or scouring through tons of photos of hot men, all in the name of research, then you can probably find her curled up with her Kindle, ignoring the rest of the world. She loves her sports almost as much as she loves her books. Her other obsessions include red wine, hot men, rock music, and all things Corey Taylor.
She adores hearing from readers, so please feel free to contact via any social media site!
