This book was recommended to me by a trusted book friend. It was my first book by Debra Anastasia. I went into it blindly and loved every second.

5 stars

The real hero of this story is dead. You should have met him. He was a beautiful man. The love of my life. I didn’t deserve him. Now what’s left are the jagged edges of the person I am without him, and what I have to do to get by. This isn’t even a story about love. Not really. It’s a twisted tale of revenge and hate—a happily never after. The only man in my life now is the one I have to kill. I’m Savvy Raine. I used to be a wife. I used to be a mother. Now I am the Revenger.

I have never read anything like this book.  It’s an epic love story full of so much devotion, pain, love, and loss.  It tears you up before it pieces you back together.  It kept me on the edge of my seat, white knuckled, and anticipating what would happen next.

I’m usually not a fan of books that jump from perspective to perspective but, in this book it was necessary and written so fluidly I found myself craving it.  The storyline had so many twists and turns that you need all sides of the story to keep it straight.

Savvy is by far one of the greatest characters I’ve read in a long time.  She was so complex, cunning, passionate, and strong both physically and mentally.  She did what needed to be done damn the consequences.  Because when you’re fighting to find the line between good and evil you do what needs to be done to keep evil at bay.

There were so many amazing characters in this book.  They all play their parts enhancing the book, giving you someone to love, someone to hate, and someone who’s ass you want to kick!

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for something new and unique.  Or just an fantastic book that sticks with you long after you’ve finished it.
