WHAT IT’S ABOUT

Millie Cross knows what it’s like to burn for someone. She was young and wild and he was fierce and even wilder-a Chaos biker who made her heart pound. They fell in love at first sight and life was good, until she learned she couldn’t be the woman he needed and made it so he had no choice but to walk away. Twenty years later, Millie’s chance run-in with her old flame sparks a desire she just can’t ignore. And this time, she won’t let him ride off . . .

Bad boy Logan “High” Judd has seen his share of troubles with the law. Yet it was a beautiful woman who broke him. After ending a loveless marriage, High is shocked when his true love walks back into his life. Millie is still gorgeous, but she’s just a ghost of her former self. High’s intrigued at the change, but her betrayal cut him deep-and he doesn’t want to get burned again. As High sinks into meting out vengeance for Millie’s betrayal, he’ll break all over again when he realizes just how Millie walked through fire for her man .

JENN’S REVIEW

What can I say about a KA book that hasn’t already been said? I want to tell you that this is her best one yet, but I seem to say that each time she releases a new book. In the case of High and Millie, it is 100% true. As we have read through the Chaos series, we’ve seen glimpses of High, and not all of them good. He’s moody, cranky, and not someone I would want spend time with. In Walk Through Fire, we find out exactly what makes High cantankerous, and her name is Millie.

Every time I find out a KA story is going to be a second chance story, I run to it and read it as fast as I can. Those are absolutely some of her BEST! She manages to weave the present and past together so perfectly, you feel like you right there through Millie and High’s complete history. I generally don’t enjoy books that flash back to the past, but KA gets it right. Not only did we get to see flashbacks of Millie and High when they were young and completely in love, we get glimpses of Chaos in the early years. These were some of my favorite moments. We learn so much about the Club before Tack took over and get to see why he took it in the direction he did. For me, this was just as intriguing as the love story.

You know KA is going to give you a remarkable woman, and for me, Millie is high on the list of my favorite KA heroines. She is independent and strong of course, but she is also fearless and completely selfless. High is your typical KA hero, but with a twist. You may want to hate him at first, but eventually, he will win you over and you will see why, even after twenty years apart, Millie and High are true soul mates. The love they share just explodes off the page and you can’t help but get caught up in it. I don’t want to give you any insight to this book at all. You need to experience each thought, feeling and word for yourself, free of any spoilers. That’s what this book is, an experience. I have read it 3 times since receiving it, and it never disappoints. It evoked the same feelings of despair and elation the third time as it did the first. It’s not often an author can do that, but KA knows just how to make it happen. READ IT!
